Small, Intimate Wedding at Lake Crescent!!
A true PNW-Pacific Northwest, wedding! The venue was dock side at stunning Lake Crescent here in Port Angeles, WA! The magnificent Olympic Mountains surrounding us all, the sun peeping through the trees, the greens and blues in the lake were proudly showing off, the prestigious and mossy forest didn't disappoint, and the bride could not have chosen better colors! Look at these vibrant, gorgeous colors! Those flowers!! Fabulous reds and oranges against the bridesmaids dresses, such a stunning teal! It beautifully pops off the background!
The afternoon didn't go as smoothly as it seems in these stunning photos! First, the poor groom (that was a very organized person) kept getting told he didn't have approval to conduct a wedding, nor to have a photographer there...I became "Auntie"!
. He had proof of a reservation, payment of permit, and they still had to get approval from someone they kept calling. To say he was stressed is a huge understatement! Thankfully, Washington State Parks have since forgone the need for a photographer to have a permit! It took the rangers about 45 minutes to straighten it all out. We had such a great time, killing time during our "wait time"! There was a rowing race on the lake that was happening at the same dock that they had reserved. We laughed, talked, played with the littles...I just had a great time getting to know the family! To add to the permit confusion, the rain was relentless! It would downpour, and then stop...off and on the entire time we were at the lake.
They managed to pull off one of the quickest, most gorgeous, and romantic ceremonies, ever!
